The Capacity Management Consultant will provide supplier capacity management & supplier readiness by proactively steering supplier industrialization in project phase and evaluating associated risk for new & current suppliers

Position Requirements:

Manage supplier activities with the following scope of work (but not limited to):

Safeguard current & long term production volume   

  • A minimum of three years of relevant professional experience in an engineering oriented environment within a manufacturing setting with strong emphasis on project management, capacity and process planning.
  • Calculate supplier production capacity.
  • Analyze & evaluate material flow output efficiency at supply base.
  • Identify issues, develop countermeasures and track measures to completion and/or escalation to management.
  • Create formal status and decision making reports for steering committees up to MBC Board level (e.g. for critical series supplier topics, new project status and creation of audit reports as well as decision making reports)
  • Project lead in capacity questions in order to develop suppliers to ensure program readiness for current & new suppliers.
  • Ensure shipment of correct quality level in the right quantity in the requested time at supplier base. Organize and lead on-site evaluations of supplier according to the Association of German Automotive Industry (VDA):
  • Identify logistics process issues.
  • Evaluate supplier logistics capability.
  • Track agreed countermeasures with supplier.
  • Organize and conduct follow-up visits to ensure implementation.

Required Education (including certifications):
